Program name: NavigSim – Navigation Simulation
Version/Year: Version 1.0, 2008.
Capability: Calculation of trajectory of flying vehicle based on data obtained from inertial measurement unit (IMU). Calculation of the dispersion od trajectory coordinates due to measurement errors.
Purpose: Determination of coordinates and orientation angles of a flying vehicle equipped with IMU in off-line mode. Examination of various integration methods on the accuracy of integration. Examination of measurement errors of gyros and accelerometers on the accuracy of determination of trajectory and angles.
Method: Numerical integration of navigation equations and angular position equations given specific forces and angular rates by IMU in time. Monte-Carlo simulation of the trajectory dispersion.
Origin: Original development based on published literature and own experience.
